Look at Alberta on google maps. I agree with your comment. Alberta looks like it got ass raped.// Canadian
I'll say this first. I only heard about it on the Colbert Report. I think the theory was that the "universe" is going back in time to prevent something from maybe not killing it but messing it up.

“Totally agreed but notice I'm not saying everyone should stop eating meat completely: "Please remind me again why we are talking about far-fetched ideas that will cost billions of dollars when we could just eat less meat..."It's just sad when we could make what is (in theory) a simple change... but I guess asking people to eat less meat is actually socialism in disguise :[

actually you're way under what they make. it's 500 times the average worker. not %, which would only be 5 times. in percents they would make 50,000% more..

That's why I'm participating in Movember to raise awareness for prostate cancer. It's our version of breast cancer.

I'm pretty sure we're too late, and even if we weren't, what the ***** can we do? Our entire way of life is built around fossil fuels that create greenhouse gases. True, we're developing alternative energies, but it'll be decades before they're actually a viable replacement for fossil fuels. I'm still, though, not comfortable with the idea of artificially modifying the Earth's climate. We simply don't understand it well enough, and there could be serious repercussions. I think our best bet is to simply ride this thing out. I realize it won't be easy, and I realize there may be serious consequences to global warming, but the Earth has experienced plenty of drastic climate changes in the past, and life has gone on, so I have full faith in our ability to adapt. |
