Its called a history book. I realize that George W. Bush did not further the worlds agenda of peace and tranquility among all nations. But I am also smart enough realize that 3,000+ Americans died on September 11 because Muslim extremists have hated the United States for over 5 decades. All George W. Bush did was stir up the hornets nest. And here we are today, still in Iraq, Still in Afghanistan, and the last time I checked there has been no shortage of hatred towards the United States from all over the world. So I have a question for those who want to blame George W. Bush for all of our problems today. Where the hell have you been the last 10 months. Because nothing has changed.
The movie doesn't need to be a perfect match line for line from the book but it does need to contain the essence of The Hobbit. Fellowship of the Ring captured the essence of The Lord of the Rings reasonably well but the others were each progressively worse than the first.So far I'm feeling pretty good about the movie. It sounds like Del Toro gets it. His line about being a bit less true to the book than the Ring series is a bit concerning but all of the specifics he mentioned seemed to point the right way so I'll withhold judgement until I see the movie.

“One of the creepier movies I've seen is a Nicole Kidman flick called "The Others". Low budget, no gore, no "jump out and scare you" tricks... just a really well-made tense little movie. Sounds like something you'd enjoy.
