The thing that strikes me is how many of these punishments are based on accusations and not proof or due process. We need an 11th (28th?) amendment to add to the Bill of Rights that will work online. Being in a family with people of light skinned European descent, people with Hispanic descent, people with East Asian descent, and people with Native American descent I find it interesting that this man wants to preserve his culture by having his son marry "Native American", yet his own tribal heritage is Umatilla and Yakama. There is no such single thing as "Native American" culture, just as there is no such single thing as "White" culture. Since as long ago as I can remember, that is what America is... the melting-pot. Furthermore, when will we all be called "Native American"... my family has been here for at least 5 generations... maybe more? The Italians were not always Italian. The Pakistanis were not always Pakistanis.
