No reason not to persevere with it, the other posters above have pointed out two ways to get your XP as a default. Once you have experienced it and seen the differences, I am confident that you would look to get rid of the XP partition within a month unless it is mission critical.I only run Mac OS X and Ubuntu in my house now, the two compliment each other perfectly.
