Did you fail out of 20th Century American History? When it comes to the economy, Hoover : FDR :: Bush : Obama. FDR's running mate accused Hoover of "leading the country down the path to socialism." On top of this, Hoover pressured businesses into keeping wages artificially high. In addition, he signed the Revenue Act of 1932, which doubled the income tax. There are a host of other examples of Hoover's economic interventions just a google search away; but please, don't let little things like facts and history get in the way of your comforting myths.
@eatrains:Actually, for years the Mac was *constantly* billed as a "Windows killer", in the same way the Android, etc., are billed as "iPhone killers". So was OS/2. ("A better Windows than Windows...")@appleKKK:What for? Why try to duplicate the iPhone? Why NOT put in the features you think people will want, and make it better?

I'll go with skztr's idea posted above. Keep the immunity from being sued, lifting that immunity would lead to every single defendant filing suit against the prosecutors just to distract them from their job. It would also cost us as tax payers way more money dealing with all the extra lawsuits. On the other hand, there is no way we should continue to allow for immunity from having criminal charges filed for criminal acts.?
