“Natal uses a stereo camera rather than a single one. Stereo cameras are capable of producing a depth map that shows how far away things are from the camera by interpreting the difference between the left and right cameras. Not sure about Natal's camera, but many stereo cameras do this processing onboard using a processor in the device. This depth image is really what Natal will use to add the third dimension of movement, something the eye toy could not do.

I stay away from Shures now. You are supposed to wear them with the cables looped behind your ears which in my case seems to cause the sheathing to become rigid and brittle. After going through 4 pairs in three years I am done with them.?
