How about a WVGA screen? Seriously, the text renders so crisply and you can read webpages (in landscape) with little to no zooming. Looking at the iPhone screen (480x320) after using the Droid's screen (854x480), it seems like you're looking at blurry text.Also, background processes let me listen to Pandora while I *gasp* browse the web and text people. It's nice.

The potential for massive problems is much higher when the strain itself is highly contagious. That's what people are worrying about and that's why health organizations are trying to prevent the spread as much as possible.

I don't think this is obvious to most people at all. While I agree with your comment about oil being used simply because it is the easiest (and cheapest) way to produce other carbon based chemicals (hence it's ubiquity), you must be living on another planet if you think this is understood by most people, even people who frequent digg.

The BASIC interpreter was "slow" because of an error. If I recall, it was a hardware error. When it was fixed, Atari BASIC was a whole lot faster and arguably more powerful than the Microsoft BASIC of the time.
