Those numbers are *way* off, http://www.precentral.net/billshrink-compares-pre- ... shows the Marketplace at 10000, and from what I've found, it's past 15K. Also, your analysis is invalid; what is useful to one person may be garbage to another, and furthermore, the 99% of useless applications used in your analysis are going to make it tricky to find the 1% of "useful" apps. I think the thing that bothers everyone about the app store the most (especially on Digg) is the mundane approval process. The fact that some random employee sitting in an office in California can decide whether my month of on/off work is "useful" or not is more than just a bit irritating. But, that's a whole other can of worms :p.
Why are they all so blurry? I'm no professional photographer, but I can a hold a camera (be it a digital camera or a phone) still with no effort. Reminds me of every UFO and Bigfoot picture.....!
