I dunno what 'cage' you speak of, but I know that I'm happy because I don't live in a cage, I live in a habitat that's suitable for me as a human. These tigers and gorillas and other animals that spend their lives in captivity are not meant to live like that. I don't "take off my clothes, go outside, and see how happy I am one I'm out of my cage" because that's not how I'm meant to live, are you? That being said, I know that these animals live longer sure, but like uptwolait said, they may not be as happy, but they live longer. Personally, I would choose to live a shorter, happier life than a longer, miserable one. Think about it, why would you want to be alive if you're just unhappy and unfulfilled? Again, I'm not saying these animals are being tortured, as you so eloquently put it, I'm just saying they're not meant to be living in captivity, and every now and then, there's one that you can tell isn't as happy as it would be in the wild, and I think it sucks to see that. What I'm getting from you is that our job as humans is to take care of the world. I agree with you, to an extent. It's our job to fix our mistakes, sure... but to say that nature is faulty when it comes to taking care of itself is just retarded. One more thing, 62 pi x 31 pi ?!? Are you kidding me? That picture you linked to isn't even suitable for an icon.

Ive been reading many articles. I get the impression he was being bullied due to his religion. For example, many army personal would shout suggestive remarks as they approached him. They would imitate the praying stance of Muslims. There was also a reported incidence of his Muslim Bumper sticker being torn off.He was no doubt being bullied. This may have been one of the contributing factors to the rampage. This is similar to the Columbine incidence. Also.
