So what would you call the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza? It was a move overwhelmingly supported by the Israeli public; a direct confrontation with the Israeli extreme right; it was complete unilateral with nothing in exchange expected from the Palestinians. Yet it failed gloriously when the Palestinians used this territory to fire rockets.Now how do you go and explain the average Israeli, who ELECTED A GOVERMENT just for performing the disengagement, and had thsouands rockets fired upon from that very territory - how do you explain to him that he needs to give back more territory? You wouldn't assume the average Israeli is insane, do you. Truth is, there will always be an excuse for the Palestinians and their supporters to keep on the terrorist activity. After the withdrawal of Israel from Southern Lebanon and the following UN decision calling for the end of the conflict with Lebanon, Hizballah dug up an excuse to keep attacking Israel, in the form of Shabaa Farms, a negligible territorial dispute that's handled by the UN. It's Syrian if anything. Anyway, they've been using that to continue attacking Israel.As this conflict is not nearing resolution even one bit, Israel would do better to continue controlling the territories and the activities performed there, unless it wants to deal with a much more powerful Hamas in the future. Truth is, if the world really wanted to end this - instead of just wanting to screw Israel - they would have forced an agreement on the Palestinians. They are the weak side, they are the side that loses each and every day from their own actions - someone should have taken the role of a responsible adult and saved them from themselves. But the world is too busy trying to equalize both parties. This will just not work. Israel showed the world terrorism can and will be solved militarily with operation Cast Lead.

Back in the 1980's Bulgaria had one of the top school systems around. This was partly due to the socialist state of the country. It wasn't communist like Russia (rather far from that) but wasn't really capitalist either. It was just Socialist, and things were good. Education there is with out a doubt much better then what we have here.Even now, when Bulgaria is declining, education is still above that in America. In middle school, learning a second language is mandatory. English is practically a requirement. What college students are being taught here, now, is being taught at a high school level in Bulgaria. USA really needs to step up its education.
i'm not supposed to pop a chubby while watching that. but i did.
