I'm 20, had a good job repairing cell phones but was laid off in Jan. Been delivering pizza since then, and working for tips is absolutely horrible not to mention my car is taking a beating and I can't afford the new tires and brakes it desperately needs. I haven't stopped seeking new jobs either, the job market is just really in the ***** right now. Fortunately I've been able to move back in with my parents but that's merely a testament to how poorly my current job pays (5.50 an hour + tips, it's absolutely criminal that companies can get away with paying below minimum wages)It's not because we don't want to work. All I want more than anything right now is a job that pays a living wage (and you can't live on minimum wage, which is absolute *****; no working man should be paid barely enough to stay afloat).
